Parashat Terumah – Summary
Introduction
- In Parashat Terumah, Hashem commands the Children of Israel to build a Tabernacle (Mishkan) and provides an architectural blueprint for how to construct it and its vessels.
- The Vessels – Chapter 25 opens with a general command to collect donations from the Children of Israel for building the Mishkan. The chapter continues with instructions on building the vessels of the Mishkan, beginning with the Ark of the Covenant (Aron), the innermost and holiest vessel, and moving outwards to the Table of the Showbread (Shulchan) and the Candelabrum (Menorah).
