Parashat Tetzaveh – Summary
- Parashat Tetzaveh continues the instructions for building the Mishkan, with a particular focus on preparing the sons of Aharon for their special role as priests (kohanim).
- Lighting the Menorah – Parashat Tetzaveh opens at the end of Chapter 27 with the commandment to use pure olive oil for the lighting of the Candelabrum (menorah).
- The Priestly Garments – Chapter 28 presents instructions for fashioning the priestly garments, both the simple garments worn by all serving priests and the unique garments worn only by the high priest.
