ALHATORAH.ORG™ Privacy Policy
This is the privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") that governs how we, ALHATORAH.ORG ("ALHATORAH.ORG", "we", "our" or "us"), use Personal Information (defined below) that we collect, receive and store about individuals who use the website ALHATORAH.ORG (together with its subdomains, content and services, the "Site"). This Privacy Policy forms part of the Terms of Use, available here (the "Terms"). Any capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms.
- Introduction
We have implemented this Privacy Policy because your privacy, and the privacy of other Site users, is important to us. We provide this Privacy Policy explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your Personal Information is collected and used in connection with the Site and certain services that we offer through or in connection with the Site. - What Personal Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We do not currently require you to provide Personal Information in order to have access to general information available on the Site. But, we do receive and/or collect information from you in the following ways:
- Subscription and Notification Service
If you choose to join the ALHATORAH.ORG mailing list (for example, to receive notifications from us) then you will be required to provide us with certain Personal Information such as your name and email address. You may also choose to submit other Personal Information.
- 'Contact Us' Information
If you send us a "Contact Us" request, whether by submitting an online form that we make available or by using an email address that we provide, you may be required to provide us with contact information such as your name and email address, as well as any other Personal Information you disclose.
- Donations
We offer you the opportunity to make a donation to organizations that support our work via the Site. If you choose to do so, the donation will be processed by one of our third party service providers, such as PayPal. You will be required to provide the third party service provider certain Personal Information such as your name, billing address and credit card information in order to process the transaction. Please be aware that the third party service providers' use of such Personal Information will be governed by their terms of use and privacy policy. We do not collect any credit card information from you, but we will receive details of the donation that you made, including your name and the amount donated.
- Log Files
The Site may make use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, clicked pages and any other information your browser may send to us. We may use such information to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement around the Site, and gather demographic information.

We may use a reputable third party to present or serve advertisements that you may see on the Site. The Site may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by ALHATORAH.ORG. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of third party websites, and you visit them at your own risk.
- Children's Privacy
We do not intend to collect Personal Information from anyone we know to be under 13. If you are under the age of 13 please do not: (i) provide us with any Personal Information; and (ii) use any of the Site services or tools which require you to provide or make available your Personal Information to us. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. The security of Personal Information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards, including the use of appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards, to protect the Personal Information submitted to us. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. - In the Event of Merger, Sale, or Bankruptcy
If we enter bankruptcy (or similar) proceedings or are acquired by or merged with a third party, we reserve the right to transfer or assign Personal Information to a third party in connection with the foregoing event.
- Your California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits customers of ALHATORAH.ORG who are California residents to request certain information regarding its disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to support@alhatorah.org. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year.
