How did Shaul not recognize David? These commentators differ regarding how they explain Shaul asking David who he is:

• Shaul did not recognize David – Ralbag says that Shaul had a lot of servants so he really did not remember David.
• Shaul was asking a different question – Bavli Yevamot explains that Shaul was not asking for David's name rather about his ייחוס.
