Parashat Pinechas – Summary
- Parashat Pinechas describes some of the preparations for the Children of Israel's imminent entry into the Land of Israel
- Reward and Revenge – The Parashah opens in the middle of Chapter 25, with the aftermath of Israel's sin at Baal Peor. Hashem rewards Pinechas for his zealous loyalty in killing the sinners Zimri and Cozbi, and then instructs Moshe to wage war against the Midianites who incited Israel to sin.
